Our Clergy & Lay Leadership
Fr. Paul Castelli
A native of metro-Detroit, the Rev. Paul H. Castelli, OCS is a priest and spiritual director in the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia, where he serves on the bishop’s staff as the diocesan Vocations Director and Campus Missioner to West Virginia University. He also is a founding member and serves as the Director of Vocations for the Order of Christ the Saviour (OCS), a new Dominican Order in the Episcopal Church. He attended Ferris State University, where he received a BS in Business, Magna Cum Laude, in 2009. In 2016, he received his M.Div. from Bexley-Seabury Seminary Federation. In 2023, Fr. Paul completed a two-year spiritual direction training program with the North Carolina Institute for Spiritual Direction and Formation and is an affiliate spiritual director with the Institute. He is also a member of the Society of Catholic Priests, the Society of Mary, and the Guild of All Souls. Fr. Paul’s family moved to Morgantown from North Carolina, where he had previously served as Rector of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Wilson, North Carolina.
Fr. Timothy Allen
The Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Allen was born and raised in Huntington, WV. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Counseling at Marshall University, he went on to complete two extended units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Cabell Huntington Hospital and pursue Masters work in Counseling (also at Marshall University). He received Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees, both at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.
During his lengthy tenure as ordained United Methodist clergy, Fr. Timothy pastored several appointments throughout the West Virginia area of The United Methodist Church and served on various denominational committees. During his doctoral studies in sacramental theology, he developed a deep appreciation and yearning for the Episcopal Church, which continued to develop as he realized to truly be Wesleyan was to embrace the Anglican Communion. Accordingly, Fr. Timothy was confirmed as Episcopalian and came home to “Mother Church.” He is now very much looking forward to his time with the parish of Trinity Episcopal in Morgantown. He and his wife currently reside in Fairmont. They have three children and two grandchildren.

Vestry
Historically, in England the annual election of churchwardens took place during Easter week. The parishioners gathered at the church to hear the outgoing wardens render their accounts and elect their successors. The parishioners assembled in the vestry, the room off the chancel where the clergy vested. The assembled parishioners came to be known as the vestry.
Today, the vestry serves as the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.

Welcome to Trinity Episcopal
Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church….and thanks for stopping by to check us out. Our physical location is found conveniently in the heart of beautiful, historic, downtown Morgantown.
At Trinity we honor and respect our place in the Anglican tradition, are faithful to the Book of Common Prayer, and normally follow Rite II for weekly mass. Nursey services are provided. It is important to note that we are also involved in social justice ministries and engage needs of the community on a daily basis.
We look forward to greeting you in person!
