Welcome to Trinity Episcopal

Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church….and thanks for stopping by to check us out. Our physical location is found conveniently in the heart of beautiful, historic, downtown Morgantown.

At Trinity we honor and respect our place in the Anglican tradition, are faithful to the Book of Common Prayer, and normally follow Rite II for weekly mass.  Nursey services are provided. It is important to note that we are also involved in social justice ministries and engage needs of the community on a daily basis.

We look forward to greeting you in person!

Biography

The Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Allen was born and raised in Huntington, WV. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Counseling at Marshall University, he went on to complete two extended units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Cabell Huntington Hospital and pursue Masters work in Counseling (also at Marshall University). He received Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees, both at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.
During his lengthy tenure as ordained United Methodist clergy, Fr. Timothy pastored several appointments throughout the West Virginia area of The United Methodist Church and served on various denominational committees. During his doctoral studies in sacramental theology, he developed a deep appreciation and yearning for the Episcopal Church, which continued to develop as he realized to truly be Wesleyan was to embrace the Anglican Communion. Accordingly, Fr. Timothy was confirmed as Episcopalian and came home to “Mother Church.” He is now very much looking forward to his time with the parish of Trinity Episcopal in Morgantown. He and his wife currently reside in Fairmont. They have three children and two grandchildren.
